Cody Bova is looking forward to his first FAST Series weekend of 2019 with a two-day race weekend on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, April 6th, Bova will be headed to Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, Ohio for $3,000-to-win. On Sunday, April 7th, Bova will be headed to Waynesfield Raceway Park in Waynesfield, Ohio for $4,000-to-win. This will be Bova’s first time racing at both tracks. Hot laps will begin at 6PM on Saturday and at 4PM on Sunday. Please visit Atomic Speedway’s website HERE and Waynesfield Raceway Park’s website HERE for more information.
“I’m really excited for our first FAST Series weekend of 2019,” said Bova. “We are excited to be a part of the Series and visit a couple new tracks this weekend. It won’t be easy with the field of cars that we will have but I’m really looking forward to seeing how we can do.”
This past weekend, Bova and team visited Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, PA. After a 4 and a half hour tow, Bova had a solid heat race but ended up having to run the B-Main to attempt to make the Feature Event. Bova tapped the wall 6 laps in and ended up breaking a front axle, resulting in a DNF.
“We were pretty disappointed with our outcome at Lincoln this past weekend,” said Bova. “I definitely had a lot of fun and the atmosphere, as well as the fans, were outstanding. We got a lot of support from locals and it was really cool to see how passionate they are about Sprint Car Racing out there. We are looking forward to hopefully going back sometime this season.”
Bova plans to head to Fremont Speedway next weekend, April 13th for their first race of the 2019 Season.
