Next Up For Bova: Sharon Speedway

Cody Bova will be headed to Sharon Speedway on Saturday, May 12th, with the FAST On Dirt 410 Sprint Series. This will be Bova’s second time in a 410 Sprint Car and the first time this season. Racing starts at 7PM on Saturday. Along with the FAST 410 Sprints, there will be Stock Cars, RUSH Sportsman Modifieds, and Econo Mods. “We are really looking forward to Saturday,” said Bova. “My crew chief, Scott Priester, rebuilt this motor which was Chris Pochiro’s motor from a while back. It’s ready to go and we are excited to make some laps and see what we can do.” 

Last weekend, Bova spent his Saturday at Fremont Speedway with his 360 Sprint racing in the FAST 305/NRA 360 Challenge. In hot laps, Bova went too high and clipped the wall which sent him flipping and causing a lot of damage. The next hour or so was spent rebuilding the car and getting it race ready by the crew, along with a few drivers who were nice enough to help. Bova started 4th in his heat and finished 3rd to make the redraw. From here, Bova started 10th in the feature. He was picking cars off one by one and ended up finishing 5th.

“Last weekend started off pretty bad,” said Bova. “Luckily, I have a great crew and had a lot of people stopping by to lend a hand in order for us to get back out there. We were really happy with how our evening ended. We are excited to get back to Fremont this season!”
