Matt Foos plans to stay local this weekend on Friday at Attica Raceway Park and Saturday at Fremont Speedway. On Friday, May 4th, Attica Raceway Park will be hosting the FAST 410 and 305 Sprints, along with Oakshade/ARP Late Model Series. Racing action starts at 7:45PM. More information can be found HERE. On Saturday, May 5th, Fremont Speedway will be hosting the FAST 410 and FAST 305/NRA 360 Sprints, and Boss Non-Wing Sprints. The FAST 305 Sprints will be racing along with 360 NRA Sprints for the 305/360 Challenge. Racing action starts at 7PM. More information can be found HERE. You can also follow along with both tracks on Twitter at @atticaracewyprk and @FremontSpeedway.
“We are really excited to get back to Attica and Fremont this weekend,” said Foos. “Hopefully all of the little kinks are worked out and we can have two solid runs this weekend. The goal is always to end our night in Victory Lane. Hopefully, if we keep pushing and working hard we will get back there.”
Last week Foos traveled a little bit more than normal. On Friday night, Foos went to Limaland Motorsports Park with the 360 NRA Sprint Invaders. He started 6th in his heat and moved up one position to finish 5th. In the feature, he started 15th and was involved in a wreck and got a DNF and was scored 18th. On Saturday, Foos traveled to Crystal Motor Speedway with the Sprints On Dirt (SOD) Series. Foos qualifies 7th out of 24 cars. This placed him to start in the first position of his heat, which he went on to win. He started 3rd in the feature and finished 3rd in the feature.
“Friday night wasn’t exactly what we hoped for,” said Foos. “It felt really good to finish on the podium on Saturday with some great cars. It’s always nice to see all of your hard work pay off after a bad previous night. We are excited to see what happens this weekend.”
