Next Up For Bova: FAST @ Mercer

Cody Bova prepares for one of his biggest races of the year coming up this weekend at Mercer Raceway Park. This Saturday, August 19th, Bova will be making a shorter drive with the FAST On Dirt 305 Series than normal. He will be headed to his home track, Mercer Raceway Park for their $1,000 to win FAST Series “Summer Shootout,” presented by Bova’s sponsor, J.S. Bova Excavating.

“This race is something I've been looking forward to all year,” said Bova. “I've been getting closer and closer to a win with the FAST Series and I'm thinking this may be my opportunity. Mercer is one of my best tracks and I'm really hoping I can represent the local crowd and end my night in Victory Lane. These are some of the best 305 drivers in the business so it'll be exciting for fans to watch some new cars to the track.”

Last weekend, Bova was at Mansfield Motor Speedway. Friday was canceled due to rain but Saturday was quite successful for Bova. He was 5th quick out of 40 cars. He transferred into the feature and made the redraw. He started 7th and held a solid 5th place until being passed at the line by Paul Weaver to finish 6th.

“Mansfield was a cool track,” said Bova. “Traveling with the FAST Series and the Patriot Sprint Tour this season to all new tracks and with new drivers has really helped me learn some things and improve overall. I can't say it enough how much it has taught me this season.”
