Shetler: OFF this weekend

Dan Shetler regroups with the weekend off of racing with a lot of possibilities for next weekends racing action.

Shetler went to his home track, Lernerville Speedway, last weekend for the Mid-Season Championship.  He was the fastest car in hot laps and throughout the heat races.  He started 3rd in his heat and won by a straightaway lead. He had the bad luck of the draw for the feature and had to start 9th. He drove to finish 2nd in the non-stop 25 lap feature.

“The track was extremely dry slick right away,” said Shetler. “This gave us a great opportunity to tweak our set-up for hot laps and the heat race to see how good we could get the car going on a slick surface before the feature. We had the car comfortable and working good all night which allowed me to turn smooth consistent laps and march my way to the front. We missed the set-up a little in the last couple of races so it was nice to get things back on track and gain some confidence for the remainder of the season.”

Shetler will be off this coming weekend but has plans for possible upcoming races at Path Valley and Sharon Speedway within the next couple of weeks.
