Dan Shetler looks forward to getting back to Lernerville Speedway tomorrow, in hopes of better results. Shetler spent this past weekend at local Western PA tracks, racing with the All Star Circuit of Champions.

On Friday, Shetler went to Lernerville Speedway. 42 cars were present.  Shetler timed around mid-pack at 23rd, this placed him to start 6th in his heat race. He also finished 6th in his heat, placing him in the B-Main. He lined up 5th in the B-Main and ended up dominating and winning the B-Main. From here, Shetler lined up 21st in the main event. He moved up quite a few spots to 11th at one point, but during a late race caution a tire sealed up, causing him to lose a few spots to finish 18th.

On Saturday, Shetler went to Mercer Raceway Park. 34 cars were present. Once again, he timed 23rd and also timed 5th in his group, placing him to start 5th in his heat. He finished 5th in his heat which was the transfer position to the main event. He started 19th in the feature and was moving forward a couple of spots and spun out late in the race, collecting another car that had nowhere to go. Shetler didn't have any major damage but decided to end his evening there, finishing in 22nd.

“Overall, it was a disappointing weekend,” said Shetler. “We need to learn to time better so we can start near the front and give ourselves a better opportunity for a good finish. We will keep working on it and try to improve at the next timed event.”

Shetler will be headed to his weekly track, Lernerville Speedway, on Friday for their regular show - Fab4 event.
