Next Up For Bova: 360 Weekend With PST

Cody Bova looks forward to a full weekend of racing with the 360 Patriot Sprint Tour in Western PA for their special Bonnell’s Collision Western Speedweek races. These are $4,000 to win for each show.

On Thursday, Bova will be headed to McKean County Raceway in Smethport, PA to compete for his first time there with the 360 Sprints of the Patriot Sprint Tour.

On Friday, he will be headed to Raceway 7 in Conneaut, OH also with the Patriot Sprint Tour.  He competed here in May and had a great run, finishing 6th.

On Saturday, Bova will be headed to his home track Mercer Raceway Park, also with the Patriot Sprint Tour. Bova has much success at MRP, being the 305 Track Champion in 2015. He races there off and on this year, depending on when he has special races.

Backup plans are 305 FAST Series shows if the rain decides to interrupt. 

“I'm really excited to get back to Raceway 7," said Bova. "I had an awesome run there a few weeks ago and I definitely feel that if the cards fell in the right place, I could grab the W.  Mercer should also be a good time for me, I have a lot of experience there and I'm really anxious to see what I can do. Hoping to get the monkey off of our back with bad luck and hoping the weather pulls thru for us to have a great weekend of racing."

Last weekend, Bova raced at Stateline Speedway with the Patriot Sprint Tour as well.  He started on the pole of his heat and lost a couple spots on the start, where finished 3rd. He was placed in the “Dash For Cash” which is for the 9-14th placed cars in the passing points system. He lined up on the pole and finished 2nd. This placed him to start 10th in the feature event. He was cruising on the bottom and was up to 4th when he was involved in an accident, ending his evening earlier than planned.

“Last weekend wasn't very fun," said Bova. "We are just going to move on and keep digging. This bad luck has got to give somewhere."
