Current 410 Sprint Car Points Leader at Lernerville Speedway, Dan Shetler, looks to compete twice this coming weekend after another successful run at Lernerville Speedway last weekend.

Lernerville Speedway had a large count of 29 410ci Sprint Cars on Friday. Dan Shetler was, of course, one of them.  He started 4th in his heat race and advanced one position to finish 3rd.  He then went on to start 8th in the feature charged to 3rd to get another great finish at Lernerville. Shetler was planning to attend Weedsport Speedway in New York for the World of Outlaws show on Sunday but decided to stay home due to the forecast and long drive. The race ended up being canceled due to rain so the right call was made by Shetler. He hopes to compete there for their rescheduled date of October 15th if it works into his schedule.

“We were pleased with a solid third place finish,” said Shetler. “The track was a lot slicker than it has been the past few races, but we were able to adapt and still have a fast car and go forward. We have struggled in the past when the track gets slick like that so it was nice to find a setup that worked well and also gives us confidence in the future when we have similar track conditions.”

Shetler will be headed to Lernerville Speedway again on Friday, in hopes of ending his evening in Victory Lane once again.  On Sunday, Shetler plans to travel to Mansfield Motor Speedway with the All-Star Circuit of Champions show.

Dan Shetler & his team would like to thank their following sponsors: Esposita Electric, Glessners Auto Body, SR&G Construction, Precise Racing Products, and their family & friends.
