Next Up For Bova: Mercer

Cody Bova’s weekend was shortened after a first lap incident in his heat race on Friday at Limaland Motorsports Park with the NRA Invaders/Great Lakes Super Sprints 360 Series. Bova qualified 12th out of 23 cars and started on the pole of his heat at Limaland.  On the start, another car got into Bova, causing him to back the car into the wall. Bova finished the heat race in the 5th position and found that his frame was bent and cracked, which ended his two-race weekend earlier than planned.

Bova will be headed to Mercer Raceway Park on Saturday in his 305 Sprint Car after fixing a motor issue from a couple weeks ago.  Next weekend will be a two-race weekend with the 305 FAST Series at Attica Raceway Park and Fremont Speedway.  Bova will be spending the next couple of weeks working on building a new 360 car, preparing for a long weekend during the holiday 4th of July weekend with the Patriot Sprint Tour 360 Series.

“I'm excited to get back to Mercer in my 305,” said Bova. “We have always had success there, so I'm hoping to get back there with a good finish and hopefully end the evening in victory lane.”
