Next Up For Bova: Two Day Weekend in Ohio

Cody Bova competed at Fremont Speedway on Saturday, April 22, for his first FAST 305 race of 2017. Bova was 2nd quick out of 26 cars in hot laps. He started in the 6th spot in his heat and climbed his way to 3rd place in the 8 lap heat race. The top 4 in each heat went to the redraw for the top 12 starting spots. Bova pulled the pill for the 11th position so he lined up on the inside of row 6.  Bova struggled with the track a little bit and ended up finishing 15th.

“We had a decent night Saturday," said Bova. "Making the show is always a challenge especially from 6th in the heat but we were able to advance 3 positions to put us in the redraw. The feature finish isn't what we wanted but we learned a lot and what else we need to do. We keep making big strides with the 305 and I'm excited to get back after it Friday at Attica.”

This coming weekend will be a two-race weekend for Bova. He will be headed to Attica Raceway Park on Friday evening to compete with the FAST 305’s once again. Bova’s last appearance on March 24th at Attica resulted in a 5th place finish.

On Saturday, Bova travels to Fremont Speedway again but with his 360 motor. Fremont Speedway is having a 305 versus 360 Battle where they go up against each other for the evening. This exciting event should pull a few more cars than a normal evening.

“We've been anticipating the 305/360 challenge since Fremont announced that race," said Bova. "It'll only be my second night in the 360 but we should be strong out of the gate. My goal is to make the feature, once we do that then we will focus on our finish!”
